Floating Market
Floating Market is a traditional market located in Barito River in Kuin estuary, Banjarmasin City. Seller and buyers in this market use jukung (boat in Banjar language) as transportation media. The jukung which is full of merchandises such as vegetables, fruit, fish and various household needs are available in floating market. The market opens after Subuh prayer to 07.00 am.
The atmosphere of unique and typical floating market is mill-around of big and small boats, buyer and seller milling about and shaky played by wave of Barito River. Floating market does not have any organization like those on land, so it is not recorded how many traders and visitors or division of trader based on merchandise.
